VOCLA is a new platform for design experimentation and social gathering during Milan Design Week. Founded by Alcova, it offers a night-time only experience that blends a curated design exhibition with a space for encounter. Centred around an interiors concept envisioned and designed by Ugo Cacciatori, VOCLA unfolds through a large lounge area by HENGE and a pop-up dining experience curated by YAPA and developed in collaboration with Brumance. The project features recent works by emerging and established designers, ranging from research-based installations to experimentations in craft and collectible design
VOCLA is a full-spectrum experience embracing new forms of design expression in sound, sight and taste through the activation of a setting of unique architectural relevance. Presented in partnership with Italian design house Henge and Milanese restaurant YAPA, it is a temporary platform open only for Milan Design Week.
VOCLA features a curated and immersive selection of work by a talented group of international designers working across a broad spectrum of topics and media. Breaking with traditions around how work is exhibited during design weeks, many of the pieces will be in use while others will be on display or integrated into the VOCLA setup.
Access is free to all until capacity is reached, but a reservation is required for dining. Press package and images available upon request.
